Frequently Asked Questions

What is Bream?

Bream is where women 50+ find new friends, affinity groups, and meaningful virtual and in-person experiences. It's designed to make connection feel easy, safe, and real. It's a paid, private membership — no ads, no data selling — so the focus stays entirely on the community.

Is there a free trial?

Yes — try Bream free for 1 month, no credit card required. You'll get full access to your pod, community events, and everything Bream has to offer. If it's not for you, no charge.

Is Bream only for women 50+?

Yes. Bream is built specifically for women 50+, it’s private, and our community is moderated with that in mind.

Do I need to be extroverted to enjoy Bream?

Not at all. Bream is designed for all social styles. You can start quietly by joining a group, responding to prompts, or attending a low-pressure virtual event.

Is Bream free?

Bream is a paid membership so that we can offer an ads-free, safe, moderated experience. Plus we'll never sell your data. Bream offers a 1-month free trial with a valid credit card. You won't be charged until your trial ends and you can cancel anytime. After the trial, Bream is $29/month or $19.99/month annualized.

Do you offer a free trial?

Yes. You can start with a 1-month trial.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. You can cancel anytime. If you cancel before your trial ends, you won’t be charged.

What’s the difference between Monthly and Annual?

They include the same membership benefits. Annual is the best value.

What does my membership include?

Your membership unlocks pod matching, unlimited affinity groups, virtual events and local events where available, a private moderated community, weekly prompts and recommendations, and the ability to find members near you (and when you travel).

What is a pod?

A pod is a small group match of 10 women designed for deeper connection and consistency. Pods make it easier to go from chatting to real plans. We facilitate your first session and help you connect from there.

Can I refer a friend to Bream?

Yes — and you'll both benefit. When you invite a friend and she joins, you earn $10 credit applied automatically to your next invoice. There's no limit, so every friend who joins keeps earning you credit. Your friend gets $20 off her first month after her 1-month trial.

How does matching work?

Matching uses what you share about your interests, life stage, and preferences to connect you with women who are likely to click with you.

How do referral credits work?

Once a friend you've referred completes her 1-month trial and becomes a paying member, $10 is automatically added to your account as a credit — no action needed on your part. It applies directly to your next invoice. Credits stack, so the more friends you bring in, the more you earn toward free membership.

What are affinity groups?

Affinity groups are themed groups around interests and life stage. Think book clubs, pet lovers, travel inspiration, and more.

Are events in person or virtual?

Both. All members have access to virtual events from day one. In-person events are currently active in Boston, Phoenix, and the Bay Area, with more cities on the way. When you join, you can see how many Bream members are near you inside the app. If your city is growing, you may be among the women who help bring Bream there in person — and we love when that happens.

What if my city does not have many members yet?

You can see exactly how many Bream women are near you inside the app. If your city is still growing, your pod will start virtually — and many of our members say the connections feel just as real. As local membership grows, in-person events and pods follow naturally. Some of our most engaged members are the ones who helped put their city on the map.

How do you keep Bream safe?
